B: I bet there are a lot of unnecessary programs on that computer. You could uninstall some of them. Use the add/remove programs option.
我猜是電腦裡有很多用不到的程式。妳可以用「新增/移除」的選項來解除安裝。
K: Yes, I'll take a look at that. But there are a lot of programs I don't really need that open when I start up.
好，我會看看。不過我開機時，很多用不到的程式都會跟著打開。
B: I can take a look at your startup settings later, if you want.

K: That would be terrific. No rush.

Tuesday, June 17 It's over! Today was the last day. Now I can finally congratulate myself for a job well done, years of hard work, and never giving up. These few years have been tough; that's for sure. I worked so hard to get good grades so I could get into the best school, it almost drove me crazy! But it all paid off in the end. In September, I'll be going to my dream high school! And after that... who knows? I feel like the whole world is at my feet, like I could do anything! But the more I think about moving on, the sadder I get. I'll really miss the friends I made here, and the teachers who inspired and helped me. I'll miss Jane and her silly jokes, Eric with his goofy hairstyles, and Miss Zhou, who helped me so much with math. But I guess there's plenty of time to remember later. Now it's time to celebrate! Goodbye textbooks, homework, and staying up late studying. Hello two weeks of fun in the sun! Dad told me after I came home that we're all going away to Thailand as a graduation surprise! I'm so relived to finally be able to take a break (though I wish my stupid brother didn't have to come too)! That's all for now! Jenny
6月17日 星期二 終於畢業了！今天是上學的最後一天。我終於能恭喜自己，經過多年的努力與永不放棄的毅力堅持下，交出了漂亮的成績單。無庸置疑地，這幾年很難熬，我非常認真唸書來拿到好成績，希望能夠因而進入頂尖的學校，幾乎都要發瘋了！但是一切的付出終於有了代價，九月我就要到夢想中的高中就學！至於往後的發展??誰知道呢？我覺得自己彷彿站在世界的頂端，什麼事都做得到！ 不過，對於自己即將進入人生下一個階段，就越想越難過。我真的會很想念這裡的朋友，還有帶給我啟發與幫助的老師們。我會想念珍和她的冷笑話、艾瑞克和他的搞笑髮型，還有在數學方面惠我良多的周老師。 我想以後還有很多時間可以好好懷念，現在該是好好慶祝的時候！我要向課本、作業還有熬夜讀書的時光說再見，迎接兩個星期的艷陽度假樂趣！因為我一回到家，老爸就說我們全家要去泰國度假，當作我的畢業驚喜！終於可以好好喘口氣，真是讓我心裡輕鬆不少（雖然我希望我的蠢弟弟不用去）！ 先這樣囉！ 珍妮 | | ──選自《In Focus 英語閱讀 4：活用五大關鍵技巧 （16K彩圖+寂天雲隨身聽APP）》 |  | | |
