C: Cashier 出納員G: Guest 客人 C:Good morning, Ms. May I help you? G:Yes. I’d like to check out. C:May I have your room number, please? G:I am in 334. C:(The cashier pulls out the guest’s folio.)Ah, yes, Ms. Charles. I am afraid there is a problem with the blanket on your bed. G:Yes, there is a problem. I’m very sorry. Rex (the dog) chewed a hole right through it. C:I do apologize, Ms. Charles, but we will have to add the cost of the blanket to your bill. G:Is that really necessary? C:I really don’t like to do this, Ms. Charles, but I have to follow hotel policy. It will be a minimal charge, however. G:I understand. C:You can always keep the blanket for Rex to chew on later. He is a very cute dog. G:I guess I could keep it. C:Please don’t be angry with us, Ms. Charles. We have enjoyed having you and your pets stay with us, and we hope to welcome you again.
